LED Scrolling Signs
This was the most exciting project of them all. We could use discreet LED to create LED matrices and the programming part took months.

7 segment Fuel Price Board
Using a microchip 18F2550 we created a nice 7 segment sign that was meant as an
injury-free-count-down timer for use at the Port of Mombasa. It had a real time clock ic- PCF8563.
Today we have made  price boards for Petrol Stations around East Africa. Our boards use modern microcontrollers with Wi-Fi connectivity.

P.L.C for Vending machines
In 2015, someone asked me to create for them a keypad based control for a milk vending machine. Initially, they had installed timers with individual buttons for dispensing different amounts of milk. That was clever! Their machines could dispense a quarter, a half, three quarters and a liter of milk. I came up with a control that used a Microchip 18F2550 microcontroller complete with a keypad to dispense any amount of milk based on Ksh input amounts. I called my controller a 'PLC'. I meant a 'Programmed Logic Control'.
